One of the best ways to get connected at First Church is by joining one of our LifeGroups. We meet in locations all across the area in homes, coffeeshops and workplaces for a time of fun, relationship, bible study and prayer.
Why join a LifeGroup?
At First Church, we believe it is important for everyone to discover a place where they can connect and grow. We were never created to do life alone and LifeGroups exist for individuals to build community. We believe LifeGroups are one of the best places to foster significant relationships and growth with each other. They provide a great way to connect with a smaller group of people that are brought together by topics/interests, activities, meals, and fellowship. LifeGroups are a safe place to be known, encouraged, celebrated, and challenged. The format and atmosphere of each LifeGroup will be different depending on the leaders and the people in the group, but they all exist to help people connect with each other and with God. New LifeGroups will launch in the spring of 2020. We encourage everyone to participate in a Life Group and invite others to join too!
How does a LifeGroup differ from a Sunday School, Bible Study or other small group?
LifeGroups are facilitator-led and discussion-oriented, focused on the Bible for life application and transformation. They are small in size (8-12). LifeGroups are covenant groups with the freedom to share thoughts and concerns knowing they will stay within the group. LifeGroup members are prayer partners.
