Music Ministry
At the heart of the First Church Music Ministry is worship. Whether you are a professional musician or just a music lover, you will find a place here. Whether your love for music is expressed in a traditional or contemporary form. Our ensembles are extensions of our families, growing in their faith, and sharing their talents in God's service.
We offer a wide variety of opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, & interests. Our hope is that all who participate will grow in Christ and experience God’s unconditional love.
CrossRoads worship Band
The CrossRoads Worship Band leads the 9:40 am worship service. Brian Batch selects an eclectic blend of music across a broad range of genres to engage and uplift the congregation. The band uses an ever-changing lineup of musicians for each service.
Choral Ministry
Music is integral to our worship of God. Where words falter, music steps in to lift our voices, hearts, and minds into the presence of God. Regardless of your age, there is a choral group for you.
Orchestra
We offer instrumental musical opportunities for various age groups through which individuals may use their gifts in service through music.
Handbells
The Handbell Ministry at First Church features ensembles for ringers of all ability levels. Our various choirs support our worship services multiple times throughout the year.
Flutes of the Spirit Ensemble
The Flutes of the Spirit is a group of flutists who enjoy ensemble music. We currently have C flutes, alto and bass flute. We meet periodically, on Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30, as we prepare to offer music in worship. We also provide music/entertainment for outside groups as needed/requested.
