 Student Ministry

At FUMC Round Rock, we strive to create a safe and nurturing community for students in grades 6-12 to develop their faith in the company of other young believers. We provide opportunities for students to grow in their Biblical knowledge, serve as leaders among their peers, and dedicate themselves to mission opportunities throughout the greater community. This is a space for young people to find belonging and feel loved by others and by God. We would love to serve with your student and your family!

Spark is focused on building our students’ Biblical knowledge and showing them ways to apply it to their everyday life. Students in grades 6-12 will have a time of fellowship and games together before dividing into middle and high school groups to study scripture and participate in faith formation. Every 3-4 weeks we will participate together in a faith-building experience such as worshipping together at Crossroads, working on a mission project, or other spiritual formation opportunities as the schedule permits.

Spark meets from 9:40-10:40 AM on Sundays in the Student Café in Building 5

Sunday Night Wildfire is an opportunity for our middle school students to dive deeper into scripture and to grow in their faiths. This time will be oriented toward small group discussions led by adult volunteers who are invested in supporting students as they develop a faith that is uniquely their own. Our hope is that these groups will become strong and supportive communities for our students both within and outside of the church setting. Students in grades 6-8 will meet from 7-8pm on Sunday nights.

Sunday Evenings (Starting Sept 10th) from 7-8 pm in the Student Café (with the possibility of other meeting locations as the semester progresses)

Ignite provides students in grades 6-12 with an opportunity for fellowship, worship, and small groups in a high energy, and welcoming setting. Ignite will run on Wednesday nights from 6:45-8 with doors opening at 6 PM for students to come in, have some food, and hang out before worship and age based small groups.

Wednesday Nights (starting Sep 6) from 6:45-8 (doors open at 6) In the Student Café (upstairs in Building 5)

ConfirmationLogo.jpg

Confirmation provides students with an opportunity to learn and explore their faith, key Biblical principles, and what it means to be a United Methodist. Each Spring students who are in 7th grade and 8th grade have the opportunity to go through the Confirmation journey, learning what it means to be responsible for their own faith and ultimately claim their faith as their own. High School students are also eligible to attend confirmation but meet with mentors rather than in a class.
