Spend an evening with four-time New York Times best-selling author and podcast cohost
Ladies, mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening at our fall Rooted Women’s Event! We are thrilled to welcome Melanie Shankle, bestselling author, along with her daughter, Caroline Shankle, author of the devotional The Lion and the Bear: Facing Your Giants. Together, they will share an empowering and lighthearted conversation on navigating family, friendships, and faith across generations.
The night will include an inspiring message from Melanie, a fun and meaningful Q&A with Melanie and Caroline, and the opportunity to have your copy of Caroline’s new devotional signed. With laughter, honesty, and biblical encouragement, this evening is designed for women of all ages—mothers, daughters, teens, and friends—reminding us of God’s promise in 1 Chronicles 28:20: “Be strong and courageous, and do the work… for the Lord God is with you.”

Caroline Shankle
I’m an avid reader of fiction and I enjoy a good workout. On fall weekends, you’ll either find me overly invested in a football game or hunting in South Texas at the ranch.
Most of all, I’m a girl in her twenties, still figuring out where life is going by taking one small step of faith at a time. I’ve had my highs and lows, and my hope is that God uses me to encourage those around me as they go through the good and the bad moments of life.
