Wednesday Wake Up

Wednesdays at 7AM on Facebook Live

Pastor Pat McCain will be hosting a very special FUMC-Round Rock Facebook live at 7:00 am each Wednesday morning. This weekly Wednesday Wake-Up will be a devotional reflection based on The Vine weekly publication and focus on the probing questions Jesus asked. Make this a part of your Lenten journey each week!

Lenten Bible Study

Beginning Thursday, March 6 through April 17, Pat will be teaching a Bible Study on the Prayer Life of Jesus. This new Lenten Study will be offered each Thursday during a soup and bread lunch at 12:00pm in the Twin Oaks Café. The class will also be offered virtually at 7:00pm via Zoom. Click here to register for 12pm study. Click here to register for virtual 7pm study via Zoom.

The Vine Devotionals

The Vine is a written reflection on the sermon text from the previous Sunday, including questions for reflection in groups. Sign up for weekly texts or emails at fumc-rr.org/the-vine.

Bible Study with Pastor Brad

6:45 PM on Wednesdays and 10 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Come be a part of Pastor Brad's Bible study each Wednesday night at 6:45pm and Tuesday or Thursday morning at 10 am! Each week we will gather to preview the sermon text for Sunday and share in discussion together.

Social Media Devotionals

Every Thursday

This Lent, we’re walking through mini devos each Thursday, exploring what it means to fast, pray, and give generously—the historic practices of Lent that Christians around the world have engaged in for centuries.
Each week, a different FUMC-RR staff member will guide us through scripture, helping us reflect and refocus our hearts. Follow along right here on social, and let’s take this journey together!

Serve During Lent

Serve During Lent

Lent has historically focused on caring for the poor and needy. There are three ways we can do that in the coming weeks:

First, each Wednesday evening at 5:45 we will be meeting in the Family Life Center to go volunteer at the Round Rock Area Serving Center. Whether organizing merchandise in the Thrift Store or stocking groceries, there is a place for young and old to find a place to serve. Please email Kathy Dance at kathy@fumc-rr.org for questions.

Second, we can join our Round Rock Helpers each Friday morning from 8:30 to 12:00 to serve seniors and people who are disabled in our community with minor home repairs and maintenance. Just email RoundRockHelpers@gmail.com and let them know you are coming so you can be assigned a team.

Third, each week during Lent we will be receiving a Community Assistance offering that goes to help the most needy and vulnerable in our area. Or you can simply designate your special gifts at fumc-rr.org/give to participate.

THE FLOWERING CROSS

One of our favorite traditions is to bring fresh-cut flowers on Easter morning to create our Flowering Cross. The cross will be prominently placed outside the church so that flowers can be placed on the mesh frame, as a sign and witness to the joy and beauty of our Easter proclamation “Christ Is Risen!”
