Marriage Course-Hold Me Tight

Hold Me Tight is a brand-new marriage enrichment course designed especially for young married couples and couples with young children. Guided by Dr. Sue Johnson’s Hold Me Tight workbook, this course offers practical, science-backed strategies to help couples strengthen their emotional bond, deepen intimacy, and build patterns of connection that last a lifetime. Rather than focusing on fixing problems, Hold Me Tight helps couples learn how to stay emotionally connected—especially in the middle of busy, demanding seasons of life.

Over four Sunday evenings, couples will explore meaningful conversations that foster understanding, forgiveness, and closeness. Together, you’ll gain tools for communicating more openly, responding to one another with empathy, and turning everyday stress into opportunities for greater connection. You’ll also have the chance to meet and build community with other couples walking similar paths, all in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Classes will be held on Sundays February 1, 15, 22, and March 1, from 5:00–7:00 pm in the Family Life Center. Each evening includes a delicious meal, and childcare is provided for all registered children, making it easier for couples to fully participate. The cost is $30 per couple, which includes the Hold Me Tight workbook, dinner, and childcare. Space is limited, so we encourage early registration. Register for the course and for childcare at fumc-rr.org/marriage.
