We will begin at 5:30 p.m., bring your own sack dinner. We’ll begin outside with time for families to eat, play on the playground, and enjoy some yard games together. Relax and have fun- its a chance for you to spend time with other families to get to know one another!
From there, we’ll move into the Family Life Center and transition into three parts: worship, devotional and discussion, and service.
Worship: We’ll sing a couple of songs together!
Family devotional: A pastor will lead an interactive devotional and discussion designed specifically for families. Our goal is to give you a simple model for having these kinds of faith conversations together at home, so you can take it with you beyond the event.
Service: We will participate in a service project benefiting More Than Welcome, a nonprofit serving refugee families and asylum seekers in Central Texas. We will package welcome bags for those arriving in the area, and write cards with prayers and words of welcome and encouragement. We’ll also spend a little time learning more about More Than Welcome, and have a conversation about welcoming our neighbors and caring for our community.
There is no registration for this event, just come join us! We can’t wait to spend more time with your family.
