At First Church, adults in every stage of life can find a group of kindred spirits! The Christian life was not meant to be lived alone. If you’re looking for fellowship and spiritual growth, contact any of the groups below.
The Belles is a fellowship group for widows and caregivers, both members of First Church and not, who get together the first Monday of each month for lunch and visiting. If you would like to know more about the Belles, contact Janet Reynolds, 512.255.7198.
Bridge players of all ability levels meet on the third Saturday of each month at 7 p.m. in Adkins Bldg. 5 room 127. You can join as either a regular or a sub. Contact Maxine Carstedt for more information.

Each year in January and July, families, couples and singles gather to spend a weekend at HEB Foundation Camp near Leakey in the Texas Hill Country for a time of fellowship, outdoor activity, and spiritual growth. Contact Paul and Tina Pulley for more information.
First Church Men’s Softball Team
Men of all ages gather to play softball (slow pitch underhand) during the summer. Games are played at McMaster Athletic Complex in Georgetown. The league is for 8 weeks during July and August. Here is some more information, or contact Michael Hahn-Conti.
Mothers of elementary age and older children meet for fellowship, encouragement and support on 2nd and 4th Thursdays at noon. Bring a lunch and join us! Contact Brandy Boggs.
MOM – Ministry of Motherhood
Mothers of young children (no need to be a member of First Church) meet for guidance, strength, friendship and support. We strive to make meaningful and lasting friendships, and we work as a team to serve our community through mission and service projects. We meet for playdates, Ladies Night Out, and Family events each month. We follow the RRISD school calendar, and childcare is provided. Join us on Friday mornings at 9:30 in Adkins Bldg. 5 room 232. Ministry of Motherhood (MOM) Welcome Brunch is Friday, September 8!
Join us for some fun and fellowship (along with breakfast treats!) and learn more about our amazing group! We will have some great food from local restaurants, we’ll play some games, and you’ll get to meet a bunch of other moms of young kids!

The Network is a Young Professionals group designed for people ages 25 to 40 (…but, don’t worry, we’re not going to check your ID ;-).
We meet monthly for fellowship and conversation about the intersection between faith and life in the 21st century. JOY Senior Adult Fellowship, adults aged 60 and better, meets for fellowship, education and growth. JOY meets the third Thursday of each month for lunch in Adkins Bldg. 5 room 127. United Methodist Women (UMW)
UMW seeks to help women know God through Jesus Christ. Women grow spiritually, develop as leaders, worship, share, pray, study and serve together. First Church women members and friends…single, married, mothers, career women, retirees.
