A message from Robert Hall, founder of Boys to Men of God & Daughters of the King…our 2018 beneficiary
“The Pops concert was absolutely beautiful! And clearly a lot of hard work went into it. We are more than happy with the total monies collected. God is so good! 100% of the funds will be used to start an account that will be used to purchase property. We are not sure what that property is just yet, but we are taking a step of faith and going to trust God that He will give us the perfect place! We thank the Lord and your wonderful ministry. We will never be able to thank you and your ringers enough for your heart to bless these wonderful children.“
It was an awesome evening of feelings. What a feeling it was to fellowship in the Family Life Center as a church family! The room was packed with families and friends enjoying one another over dinner. The tables were decorated in festive style. The mood was loud and fun. It was indeed a great feeling! Then the music began. Our Sound of Joy trio wowed us with their rendition of “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” Who can forget all the instruments used on that one? The trio members are crazy and we look forward to what they do each year. Both Jubilation and Council Oak Bells impressed us with the performing many familiar tunes. We were tapping our toes to “Love Will Keep Us Together” and “It Don’t Mean a Thing.” We were transported during the ringing of “Shenandoah”and “Solace.” And we laughed as ringers introduced each selection. In addition, we enjoyed the talents of our instrumental musicians – Brian Batch, Charles Mallory, Rae Frenette and Zac Arnault. And who can forget Michael Rosensteel’s gorgeous version “Make Me Feel Your Love?”So beautiful! And finally…the finale featuring a brand new arrangement by Ron Mallory of “Flashdance…What a Feeling.” That one was written for us and this performance was a world premier that brought those in attendance to their feet. Again…WHAT A FEELING!
Those of us involved with the First Church Handbell Ministry want to add our thanks to that of Robert Hall. We appreciate the wonderful support of our church as we do what we so love doing. We are blessed!
PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
