Weddings
A wedding is a sacred and joyous occasion and First Church is happy to work with you in planning this special event. The service of marriage is an occasion when two persons declare to each other, before God and their friends and family, their faith and their desire to be united by the Church in a new and lasting relationship, with Christ as a partner.
Reserving a wedding date and time is not renting the facility, but is requesting that the church assist in the carrying out of a marriage service. To assure availability of date, facilities, and personnel you desire, please follow these steps: Request for rehearsal and ceremony dates must be made with the church secretary by completing the following steps.
- Complete a First Church Wedding Reservation Form and submit it to the church office. Forms are available in the church office.
- A security deposit and a non-refundable 10% down payment must be submitted with wedding reservation form.
- First Church Wedding Reservation Form must be approved and signed by a First Church pastor. Other pastors may officiate at the ceremony with approval of our senior pastor.
- When these steps are completed your wedding date will be placed on the official church calendar and you will be assigned a staff wedding coordinator.
To avoid disappointment, wedding dates should not be announced until a reservation is confirmed.
Cancellations of a reserved wedding date should be made through the church secretary. Fees, except for the 10% payment, will be refunded if notice of cancellation is made at least 90 days prior to reservation date.
