Choral Ministry

Spirited singing and a spirited singing ministry are the hallmarks of a vital congregation. After all, the voice is the only human instrument fashioned by God! With it the Faithful praise and lament, offer petitions and intercessions, as well as encourage and admonish others -- all for the sake of their Creator. Singing is the only worshipful art that has an entire book of the Bible dedicated to it: the book of Psalms.

First Church offers many different opportunities in Choral Ministry. There are choirs for adults, youth, and children. If you don't see the kind of group you are looking for, then let us know how we can expand our ministry to include your area of interest!

Other Opportunities

As interest dictates, the Choral Ministry department may incorporate Dinner Theater, Carolling, Singing Christmas Cards, Radio Days, Brush Arbor, etc. Many of our opportunities are not regularly scheduled events. We organize them as the need or desire presents itself. While there is a ministry component to all these events, participants often find they are just plain fun and a good way to make new friends.
