What to expect
First Church is a friendly and laid back community of people. We are thrilled to welcome guests and visitors both at worship and during our weekly activities. We hope this page assist you in knowing a little more of what to expect.
Where do I park?
We have parking lots north and south of the sanctuary. In addition, we are currently expanding our parking. So don’t be surprised if you see construction near the south parking lot.
Where do I go when I get there?
The entrance to the sanctuary is on the west side of the building for 8:30 and 11 am worship services. The 9:40 am worship service is in the Family Life Center (Building 3). On Sunday mornings there are Andrew Ministers on site to direct you to Sunday School, worship or to the donuts and tacos in the Twin Oaks Cafe! Look for folks wearing name tags that say Ask Me. In addition, you can find help at the Visitor Centers both in the Sanctuary Foyer and in the east side entry of the Family Life Center (Building 3).
May I participate in Communion?
Communion is an opportunity for us to renew our relationship with Jesus Christ. On the last night before his death, Jesus ate a special meal with His disciples. He charged His church with repeating this meal to remember His sacrifice and celebrate our new life through His death and resurrection. God offers this relationship to everyone, so all who desire to receive are welcome to participate.
What do I wear?
Dress comfortably. You will feel right at home in anything from shorts, to jeans, to business casual.
Do you have a nursery?
Yes! We have a thriving Children’s Ministry and welcome our youngest both in worship and in the nursery. In addition, we have cry rooms both in the Sanctuary and the Family Life Center (Building 3). So feel free to bring your children with you to worship. Please visit our Children’s Sunday Morning webpage for more details about our nursery.
Do you have programs for children and youth?
