Prayer Shawl Ministry

The First Church Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group of women who knit or crochet shawls for people needing support through difficult times. Prayers are offered as the shawls are knitted, and the shawls are blessed before being given to the recipient.

The ministry provides shawls to our church members, to their extended families, and to others in the broader Round Rock community whose special needs are brought to our attention. The group meets on the first Tuesday of each month, 9:30 - 11:30 am, in the Winstead House adjacent to the south parking lot. If you knit or crochet and would like to participate, please come and join us. If you cannot attend the meetings, but would like to get involved, we have yarn and instructions for you to use.
