Waz Up
It is going to be an exciting journey to Confirmation Sunday. You are going to learn things about this giant God we serve (and maybe even yourselves) that will be brand new to you, and there will be things that about your faith that this process is going to affirm and clarify.
We will have 2 worship "field trips". The first is our trip to Temple Beth Israel in Austin and the second is our trip to St. Williams Catholic church here in Round Rock. Both worship experiences will be very informative so be sure that you don't miss them.
An exciting element to Confirmation is the mission project. Each registered student has commited to serve 8 hours community service. There are two pre-planned opportunities for you. Students can work with CUB (Church Under the Bridge) in Jan. and/or paint homes here in Round Rock with District Y.E.A.H.. You are required to participate in at least one mission opportunity, but you are encouraged to try out both!
It is really important that you receive as much information as possible about our local congregation, the connectional United Methodist Church and Christianity over all, so that you can make an informed decision about your faith journey at the end of confirmation. You will be held responsible for the information via an open book test at the end of the process. We will be working on the test each time we meet for confirmation so try to miss as few classes as possible!
