Welcome to the First United Methodist Church Nursery Web page. We believe your child is a special gift from God, so we want your child to feel welcome and a part of our program through the people and activities that God has placed in this ministry.

Hours of Operation & Location

You will find the nursery in Building 2, Suite C, Rooms 2-4. This building is highlighted in yellow on the Campus Map. The nursery is open 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each service (8:30 am, 9:40 am, 11:00 am & 6:00 pm) and remains open until 15 minutes after the end of the service. (This also covers the time when most adult Sunday morning classes meet).

Our nursery is divided into three rooms: Infants, Young Toddlers, Older Toddlers and 2 year olds (not 2 years old by September 1st of the current school year). Our staff is there each Sunday to greet and assist you in finding the appropriate room for you child.

Staff and Volunteers

All nursery rooms are staffed with a combination of paid and volunteer staff. For a successful family ministry, parents of nursery age children are asked to serve as a volunteer for one hour in the nursery every 3 months.

Pagers Are Available

Our nursery rooms are equipped with pagers for your use. You can feel comfortable knowing that we can page you anytime your child might need you whether you are attending services in the Sanctuary or attending a Sunday School class on the church campus. These pagers also have the ability to leave you a message such as "Child fine" or "please come."

Health Policies

In order to ensure the safety and health of other children and staff, we follow guidelines similar to the Round Rock Independent School District policy. We ask that you not bring children to the nursery if he/she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting
  • Discharge in & around eyes
  • Excessive coughing
  •  Diarrhea
  •  Runny nose (anything but clear)
  •  Skin rash

If your child develops a fever or any other illness symptoms, you will be notified promptly and asked to take your child out of the nursery.

A more detailed explanation of nursery care, programming, the Sanctuary Cry Rooms and nursery policies is available in a brochure located in Building 2, Suite C or by contacting the Children's Ministries Director or Nursery/Childcare Coordinator at 255-3336 or children@fumc-rr.org.
