Learn Childhood Bible Stories Again!

Learn Bible stories that you heard as a child while serving as a shepherd or teacher for children at First Church. Opportunities are available with children from age two years through 5th grade students. Do you remember being amazed with the story of God speaking to Noah and wondering how he and his family built an ark big enough to hold 2 of every animal? Do you remember wonderinmg how David really defeated Goliath with pebbles and a sling? And what about Jonah in the belly of a whale or Daniel in the den of lions?

Each story provides us and the children with evidence of God's abiding love and faithfulness to his creation.

Curriculum is provided for each age level. It is important that 2 adults be present in each classroom, one being a teacher and the other as a shepherd providing a familiar face and warm smile. That adds up to 36 adults for just the 9:40 hour alone!

If you love children and wish to serve the Lord on Sunday morning, consider serving in Children's Ministries. The year begins on August 26. TIme commitments can be for one month (or every other month for 4 weeks) allowing you to remain connected to your adult Sunday School class. The rewards are indescribable but please note they include smiles and hugs from happy children. Short training sessions will be announced during the months of July and August for those who plan to volunteer.
