Women's Ministries Presents...
1st Ladies Day Out Was a Huge Success!
Nearly 180 women (a sold out event) joined together in the Family Life Center on Saturday, April 6 for a fun-filled, inspiring day. Our Theme for the day was "What Not To Wear" and keynote speaker, Dr. Leah McDill, shared thoughtful and humorous insights on how we can have a real makeover by accepting that we are all created in God's image and be good stewards of his creativity by subsituting unhealthy pride with humility and good stewardship. To let resentment be replaced by gratitude and joy. Selfishness is transformed into serving others. Whining is made over into praises, and a bad attitude is made good by learning how to negotiate and set healthy boundaries. Dr. McDill encouraged us all to remember that when God created each one of us he probably said, "Ta-DA!"
Winner's of Tickets to Next Ladies Day Out Are Announced
We had over a hundred evaluation forms returned, from which we drew two names to win 2 tickets each for the next Ladies Day Out (date to be determined soon). Congratulations to Nancy Spratlan and Betty Jane Holt! Thank you to all who provided us feedback on the event. We are excited to tell you that 82% of those who evaluated the event rated it as AWESOME! Of a best possible rating of 5, our participants rated us 4.82 for the overall experience. Our keynote speaker was rated 4.76 and and our breakout session speakers were rated 4.75. 100% of those responding said they would attend another Ladies Day Out and 100% said they would recommend that their friends attend. New Daytime UMW Circle Begins in May!
We are excited to announce that plans are underway to start a new United Methodist Women Circle that will meet the 2nd Friday of each month from 12:15 pm until 1:15 or 1:30 pm. Details are being finalized now and we'll have registration and more info posted in the next few days.
