Adult Ministries

In the Adult Ministries area you will find small group opportunities to grow in our relationship with the Lord through Bible and spiritual enrichment studies, through fellowship and relational experiences, and in service activities.

At First Church there are many small groups from which to choose. In the green menu box to the left is a list of the Adult Ministries programs. Please explore them and find your place in the community.

If you aren't sure where you fit in, take our Spiritual Gifts Inventory to discover what the Holy Spirit has gifted you with and this will help us find a place for you. Click on Spiritual Gifts to get a description of each gift and to take the survey. We will get back to you with your results and recommendations for ministry.

We are always starting new classes and groups!

In January 2010, First Church opened the doors to Lay Seminary, a series of adult learning opportunities each Sunday during the 11:00 a.m. hour. These classes are perfect for those who attend earlier worship services or are unable to attend Sunday School because of worship or teaching obligations. 

On Sunday, June 20, the next session began called "Rebuilding the Temple." This is a six-week health and wellness course led by Dr. Paul McCartney. After the first meeting, the group decided to change the day and time for meetings: they now meet on Monday evenings at 6:30 in room 127.  Click here for more information.
