Prayer concerns are listed each week in our Prayer List that comes out in the Sunday worship guides and in our monthly newsletter. But often a prayer concern comes up suddenly or just after the Prayer List is printed. One of the ways we could get lots of our members to praying quickly is through an e-mail prayer group. This is how it will work:

  1. Someone with a need or who knows there is a need for someone else calls the church office or Lucy Aymond or sends them an email.
  2. The request is emailed out to the email prayer group as soon as possible.
  3. All the members on the prayer chain promise to pray as soon as they receive a request and also to honor confidentiality.

This is never a gossip column; and the requests can be very vague. God knows the details, we don’t have to. You don’t have to be a member of the e-mail prayer group to use it and everyone with e-mail is invited to be a part of it. Burdens and worries shared are lighter; joys shared are doubled and we pray about those, too.

We will officially start the FUMC Round Rock email prayer chain in January, but you can get your name and email address on the list now. If you would like to be part of the e-mail prayer chain, please send your e-mail address to Lucy Aymond at lwaymond@suddenlink.net.
