Generosity Enables Ministry to Expand!

Because of all the hard work of so many people who have contributed to the Church Under the Bridge Ministry, God has blessed us through the congregation and others.

New Home

We now have a new home in which to set up and expand our ministry and share the gifts with which we have been blessed. We will be setting up shop in the garage of the house on Sunset Drive that was recently purchased by our congregation. This is a much bigger space with attic storage so we can have room for everything all in one location. Yea!

Money for Generator Donated

We also have had an anonymous donation of $800 to go toward a new generator for the school bus so we can start having Sunday school for the kids at CUB. This has been a dream of Mission Possible and CUB for a long time. The generator is a huge step toward making that a reality.

Oh…but there is more!

Our own Shannon Kane’s parents have donated a brand new 6’ by 12’ covered trailer for the CUB! We can now start planning for reaching out, not only to the homeless in Austin, but also to do more with local and other outreach projects.

SonRise Outreach

With our new gifts comes much responsibility. To best use the trailer for a multitude of community outreach projects we have organized a new ministry, SonRise Outreach, and CUB will be a big part of this new ministry. Also included in SonRise Outreach is Hands on Housing and support of the Round Rock Area Serving center and the Red Cross.

I want to thank everyone personally for all the work and gifts that you put into this ministry. We have come a very long way in a short time, and it is all because of everyone helping out where and when they can. November and December Donation Needs:

Gloves, new underwear and socks, toothpaste, combs and brushes, men’s pants and back packs. These items may be placed in the collection barrels marked CUB which are located at various locations around our church campus. Monetary donations can be made payable to FUMC RR with a notation that the donation is for CUB. Check out the web page for CUB for even more ways to help this ministry.
