The devastation of Hurricane Harvey continues to be overwhelming…it is time for the people of God at First United Methodist Church Round Rock to respond with generous love. Below are some of the ways you can be part of clean-up and restoration for our sisters and brother in south Texas. Thanks in advance for the difference you make in the name of Christ.

Thank you! We met and far exceeded the $10K goal, so we doubled the amount of Flood Buckets and Health Kits that were assembled for delivery to Harvey victims. Your generous gifts provided additional funds which will be used to purchase supplies for more Flood Buckets that will be assembled at the church on Saturday, September 16, and for further Harvey relief.  Flood Buckets cost approximately $65.  Click here to give toward Hurricane Harvey relief.

Assemble Flood Buckets – A second work day

We had a great turnout on September 2 and assembled 200 Flood Buckets and Health Kits in less than 45 minutes, so we have scheduled a second work day. On Saturday, September 16, we will meet in the Family Life Center (Building 3) at 9 am to assemble additional Flood Buckets. It’ll be all hands on deck. And with enough people, we will finish quickly. So don’t miss it!  Also, there will be donuts.

Get Trained

We’re forming an UMCOR* Disaster Relief Team to help with the recovery. If you want to be a part of a team that goes into areas affected by Harvey, we’ll be putting together a training in the coming weeks. The recovery effort for these kinds of disasters can last 5 years or more. We’re going to need your help to clean, clear, and rebuild. To get trained, email our coordinator David Scott, txgolfersall@gmail.com.
