First Church sponsors Boy Scout Troop 157, part of the Chisholm Trail District.  Meetings are Monday evenings at 7 pm in the Family Life Center.

Troop 157 is a youth-led troop, thereby developing leadership skills, and the troop stresses the importance of camping with frequent camping trips.

 

The Boy Scout program is for boys who are 11 years old and have finished the fifth grade, or are at least ten years old and have earned the Arrow of Light rank as a Cub Scout and are under 18 years of age.
First church also charters a BSA Venture Crew 157.
Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade and under 21 years of age.
