Financial Peace University
FPU is a 13-week life-changing program that empowers and teaches you how to make the right money decisions to achieve your financial goals and experience a total money makeover.
Who is Financial Peace University for?
It’s for EVERYONE from the financially secure to the financially distressed. Over 180,000 families and individuals have attended FPU at their workplace, church, military base, local nonprofit organization or community group.
On average these families have paid off over $5,300 in debt and saved $2,700 during this 91-day program! The results of participants in the classes at First Church have been consistent with these numbers.
In FPU, find out how to:
- Make a budget that you will understand and actually use.
- Get out of debt and stay that way.
- Communicate with your spouse about finances.
- Invest with confidence.
- Change your financial future.
Class Fees
There is a $125 per household fee to cover materials. Only one kit is needed per household/couple. If you already have a kit, you can attend for no additional fee (except childcare if needed). Payment plans and/or scholarships for workshop kits may be available. Please contact Laura Naiser at 255-3336 to discuss scholarships.
Childcare
A limited number of childcare spaces are expected to be made available. If you will be utilizing church-provided childcare, there will be a $70 per family fee. You must pre-register for childcare at least 2 weeks prior to the first class. Childcare is not "drop-in" but rather for those who need it for all of the sessions. Payment plans and/or scholarships for childcare may be available. Please contact Laura Naiser at 255-3336 to discuss scholarships.
Registration/Class Meeting Times/Locations
We offer classes that begin in September as well as classes that begin in January of each year. Registration for these classes will be available via this website and will begin in August for the fall classes and in December for the Winter classes.
A Class Preview Helps to Learn More...
When we are registering for upcoming classes, we will schedule several opportunities for prospective participants to attend a class preview. There you will get to view a video and learn what to expect from the program. You can meet facilitators and view materials included in the participant kit.
Apply to Facilitate a Class
We are always interested in having additional facilitators for these classes. If you are interested in applying for the volunteer position, please download and complete the Facilitator Application Form and return it to Laura Naiser in the church office. The FPU Leadership Team will review your application and contact you to discuss your potential participation as a facilitator.
